Cream boucle Nuba armchair in an apartment by a sheer white curtain with pale wall and oak floor

NUBA

Wraparound boucle armchair, built to order in Romania

A man in a green-and-white striped shirt and jeans seated in a cream boucle Nuba armchair, hand to his cheek, against a wall and sheer curtain

An afternoon at home

Settled in

The back and arms sweep down, across, and up again in a single continuous curve. The chair reads as one soft volume on the floor, not as a frame with cushions on top. Photographed in the apartment to show how it sits in a real room.

In a room

One continuous wraparound form.

Four fabrics shown. The library has over 230.

Same chair, any fabric.

Nuba is upholstered in any fabric from the Mille library, the same one our sofas and beds draw from. The four dressings shown here are examples of how it reads in a cream boucle, a fine abstract pattern, a mustard boucle, and a white textural weave. The decision is yours, made in the showroom against your room's light.

One soft volume

A back that wraps the seat.

The Nuba back rises from one side, sweeps across the seat at shoulder height, and returns on the other side, all in one continuous form. There are no visible seams across the back, no panel divisions, no break between the back and the arms. A loose back cushion sits in the seat for support; everything else is one volume.

Belgian fabric, made by us

Woven in Belgium, made in Romania.

Nuba is upholstered in Belgian-mill fabrics from the same library our sofas draw from. The frame is kiln-dried plywood; the seat is filled with HRR foam, the same we use in our sofas, so the chair sits the way you'd expect after years of use. Every Nuba carries a small Mille label sewn into the seam.
